Is the Fame Too Much for JB?

Justin Bieber recently discussed the negatives of being one of the most loved teen heart-throbs in the world, in a recent interview. He stated that girls should just try talking to him instead of screaming at him. He also said he finds it annoying to be photographed while he eats.

"And don't come up to me while I'm eating. How would you like it if I came into your house and started taking pictures of you while you were eating. I hate that."

I mean, I understand what he is saying, but at the same time there are millions of people that would give anything just to be half as famous as he is. If you're going to complain about the fame, than maybe you should go back to singing covers of Justin Timberlake songs with your little guitar on YouTube. Just a thought.

Mary Byrne

Okay, so the X Factor has become my new obsession! I'm always looking for talent competitions to watch (specifically singing) and this show actually has some great singers! I came across this video today while searching through other auditions. The woman's name is Mary Byrne, and the song she is singing is called "I Who Have Nothing," which is such a great song. I loved Jordin Sparks' rendition of the song but I must say, Mary has so much soul and power behind her voice! I really loved her version of the song. I'm sure I'll be sharing more videos from the X Factor haha!

X Factor Rudeness

WOW! Check out this hilarious X Factor moment above. Two contestants that are best friends get into a fight on stage and also give the crowd and the judges an attitude! Who do they think they are...really! I think I'll be posting more videos from the X Factor because from what I've seen they actually have some pretty good talent on that show.

Appearance VS Reality

(MTV Reality Star and Aspiring Actor Carlton Totten)
Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a short post to let you all know about my most recent project. You probably already know, but I teamed up with Late Arrival Apparel, which is a clothing brand based out of Cincinnati, and had t-shirts designed. The shirts read "Appearance VS Reality" with my website url underneath. Appearance VS Reality is simply defined as "We, as people, have the ability to make our reality either more or less than our appearance." I feel that it is important to know who someone really is, and not to judge simply based of appearance. These shirts came out in limited release and are all spoken for, so unfortunately I will not be selling them online. I am currently in the process of designing more with Karelie that will probably be sold online through Late Arrival Apparel. I've included some pictures of the shirts for you all to see! I want to thank the whole Late Arrival Apparel crew, especially Julian for all of their help. Lastly, a special thanks to aspiring actor and Taking the Stage Season 2 star, Carlton Totten, for sporting the Jay Swag t-shirt in the above picture!

Allstar Weekend Interview

Check out my exclusive interview with one of the hottest new bands out there, Allstar Weekend!

1. First, can you please introduce yourselves and tell us a little bit about yourselves?
I'm Zach. I'm 20 years old and I sing in Allstar Weekend. I'm Michael. I'm 21 years old and I drum. I'm Cameron. I'm 20 years old and I play bass in Allstar Weekend. I'm Nathan. I'm 19 years old and I play guitar and sing in Allstar Weekend.
2. How did you make it to where you are now, and who do you credit as your biggest supporters?
We've strove to write the best songs and to grow our fan base from the ground up. We push ourselves to become better writers, better musicians, and better role models to our fans everyday. Our fans are our biggest asset. You can have all the exposure in the world but if you don't have an amazing fan base to support you it doesn't mean anything. We also wouldn't have been able to do any of this with out our managers Richard and Stefanie Reines. They have been with us since the beginning and have continued to help us develop our talents every step of the way. In the end, we take our careers one day at a time and are always working towards more.
3. Who are some artist you would like to work with?
We've already been able to work with several of our heros. Growing up, we were fans of producers just as much as artists. We've gotten to work with producers Howard Benson, Sam and Sluggo, and John Feldmann. We've always been huge fans of their work. Hang Ups, which is an album released by John Feldmann's band Goldfinger was the first album I(Zach) ever bought. We've also written songs with Sam Means of The Format and Andrew McMahon of Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin. These experiences were dreams come true.
4. Are you working on any other projects currently, whether they be music related or not?
No. Allstar Weekend 24/7.
5. Thus far, what do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment and how do you feel about it?
I think the headlining tour we are currently on has been our biggest accomplishment. This was our first real tour outside of dingy bars and pizza parlors and it was our first time headlining. We're headlining a tour at a point in our careers where most bands support other bands. Nonetheless, kids came out. The turnouts have been great. The shows have been amazing and have far surpassed our expectations. Being able to put on your own show with your own rules is awesome. Whether the shows are big or small we're always trying to give kids a night they'll remember.
6. You guys announced you will be releasing an extended version of your album in October. Can you tell us a little bit about that, and what made you want to release an extended version?
We are releasing and extended version of our debut album Suddenly called Suddenly Yours. This new album will have 4 new songs. I know that some formats will also have four music videos and 2 bonus tracks. This is the album we always wanted to release. Suddenly was a 7-song stepping stone but this is a true full-length. We are really excited about the new songs.
7. What is your personal favorite song to perform and why?
Right now I(Zach) love to perform Amy. It's got a nice swing to it and it was one of my favorite songs to write. It's one of those songs that brings me back to being 15. I'm laying on my bed and looking up at the ceiling. I'm thinking about life and listening to music.
8. What's an interesting fact about you guys that many people would not know?
We went to the same high school as Tom from Blink-182.
9. That was the last question, I want to thank you for taking the time to do the interview. Do you have any last thoughts or comments?
You're welcome. Thanks for interviewing us. We love our fans and are so thankful we've gotten the opportunities we have. We are feeling really good about the new release, Suddenly Yours, that's coming out. We can hardly wait for everyone to hear it.
