First, True Blood has been one of my favorite shows for the past few years. It became a regular habit to watch the show every Sunday with my dad. I grew to love the show, and the characters. I had my favorites(Pam, Godric, Eric, and Lafayette), and I had my list of characters that I couldn't stand(Sarah Newlin, Russell Edgington, Alcide), and through all the ups and downs, AKA season 5, the show will forever hold a special place in my heart as one of my favorite shows of all times. It doesn't seem right that the show is over. I understand the whole logic of quitting while you're ahead, but I just wish the show would keep going on. With that, let's discuss the series finale.
The episode quickly brought everything to an end, and provided answers to a bunch of burning questions. Would Jason ever settle down? What would happen to New Blood? Would Sarah Newlin ever be a free woman? Most importantly, would Bill and Sookie end up together?
If you're anything like me, then you were pulling for a yes on the last question. Unfortunately we didn't get the yes that, I at least feel, we deserved. Instead we see Sookie kill Bill (haha see what I did there), and end up with an unknown human. Together they lead a normal life and have kids. I guess that's really all the closure we needed from the episode. Part of me wished it was longer, but maybe that's just the part of me longing for another season. All in all, I guess I have to accept that True Blood is over. I am proud to say that I was True to the end.
